Migrated Outlook to new Computer, Won't Recieve E-mails
Hey all, I'm transferring a coworker's e-mail from Microsoft Outlook on one machine to a new computer using Outlook 2007. I have all the settings correct for user/pass but am having difficulty configuring it to download e-mails. When I click "Send/Recieve" it sends immediately and then hangs indefinately on the following task:1) Offline address book Connecting to Microsoft Exchange.I let this run today for about 3 hours and it didn't budge. The user's inbox has about 65,000 e-mails (amazingly almost no spam)or 6 GB of data in it which completely slowed down the rest of the process so I figure it's maybe doing this as well but wanted to check as I'm am increasingly frustrated with this. How do I fix this issue if there is one?I have seen other responses to questions like these, but because of my unfamiliarity with the program I do not understand the abbreviations. Please do not use abbreviations when responding as I will not understand them. Thanks,Grasor

Try disabling the Use Cached Exchange Mode on the client machine. It is enabled by default as it automatically configures Outlook the first time it is opened. I have seen various issues with Cached Exchange Mode. It probably would not be a bad idea to set up an Archive folder for your user.

Hi Grasor,
Regarding the issue, I suggest you firstly uncheck Download Offline Address Book in the Send/Receive Group settings to check whether the issue can be solved:
1. On the Tools menu, point to Send/Receive, point to Send/Receive Settings, and then click Define Send/Receive Groups.
2. Double click the All Accounts group and uncheck Download office address book
Or you can refer to following KB to disable download Offline Address Book temporarily to troubleshoot the issue:

Please attempt to sync message and check result again.
If the issue persists, I think the issue occurs due to the large mailbox. Please refer to following articles:
