Microsoft outlook 2003 using POP3 mails intermittently not found in sent items

Hi all,

Need some advise on the issue that i had for my users who are still on outlook 2003. I find it hard to isolate the root of the cause as it happens intermittently like probably out of 10 emails sent out, 1 of the mail will not be reflected in sent items. This particular mail which was not in the sent item did sent out to the recipient successfully. This only happen just within that split sec. If the user tried to sent out to the same recipient again, it works fine and the mail can be found in the sent item. It seems like the mail went disappear. any idea what could be the cause?

Thank you!

Hi,

Can the missing email be found in the sent items folder using OWA?

Are the missing emails with any feature? Just check if you have set some rules or archive to move the emails.

Please disable all the add-ins and then check the issue. (Tools > Options > tab Other > button Advanced Settings >COM Add-Ins)

If possible, please also try to recreate a new Outlook profile and test the result:

Feel free to let me know the result. Thanks.

When i view from OWA, the missing mail was not in the sent item either. No rule was set. This happen very intermittently. The next moment if my user were to send out another email to the same receipant, it will be reflected in sent item. Is pretty strange.
