- Edited by harshal shinde Saturday, February 21, 2015 11:54 PM why data compare error?
Hi,
Do you mind telling us the whole error message or error screenshot? According to your description, I suppose you got the error message below:
"Word was unable to compare the documents."
If yes, the error may occur when the documents both have a table which contains more than 128 rows. Please try the methods below:
Method 1:
- Locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Word\Options
- On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD (32-bit) value.
- Type DocCompareLargeTables, and then press ENTER.
- In the Details pane, right-click DocCompareLargeTables, and then click Modify.
- In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
- Exit Registry Editor.
- Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
Method 2:
Clear all the comparison settings.
If no, please give us more detailed infomation, I need them to do further troubleshooting.
