Microsoft Word as Email Editor error message
I cannot find the fix for the following problem:In Outlook 2003, and in random emails, when the user(s) attempt to reply or forward, they receive this error message:Microsoft Word is set to be your email editor. However, Word is unavailable, not installed, or is not the same version as Outlook. The Outlook email editor will be used instead.I've uninstalled/reinstalled Office, ran a detect/repair in Outlook, and ran an msiexec command as suggested by another site I visited. However, I cannot get this to work. Any ideas?

Hello, I hope you have read below KB. If not, please check it firstly. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;906307 If all methods in the KB doesnt work, it also can be caused by some incorrect registry key permission. To trace it, We can use Regmon tool(it can be downloaded from in MS sysinternal website) to trace if some access denied errors occurred during reproducing the issue. Probably, some registry keys might not be removed completely your last time, you can try uninstalling all Office components completely again. Please check if the issue can be resolved by the following steps. Use Windows Installer Cleanup tool to remove Office Completely ================================================= 1. Download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility on your desktop. The Windows Installer CleanUp Utility microsoft.com/download/E/9/D/E9D80355-7AB4-45B8-80E8-983A48D5E1BD/msicuu2.exe> 2. After you install the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, click Start menu-> All Programs-> Windows Install Clean Up. 3. Highlight ANY Microsoft Office entry (like Office 2003, etc) you can find in the list and then click Remove. Click OK and wait for the process to end. 4. If you can see any other standalone Office programs such as FrontPage, Publisher, etc, please click Remove to uninstall them. 5. Click Exit to close the Windows Installer Cleanup utility. 6. Click Start menu-> Run, type "regedit" (without the quotation marks) in the Open box and press Enter. 7. Expand the registry tree on the left pane and locate the following two registry keys: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office 8. Right-click on this key and click Delete to delete those keys. 9. Delete the following folders: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office C:\Program Files\OfficeUpdate11 10. Click Start menu-> Run, type "%Temp%" (without the quotation marks) in the Open box and press Enter. 11. Delete all files in the Temp folder. Note: If you receive error when you delete files, just ignore this step. It doesn't matter. 12. Empty the recycle bin. 13. Restart your computer and then reinstall Office 2003.

I found this Start > Run then type the following c:\windows\system32\regsvr32 ole32.dll I can't tell you what it does exactly, but it works. Write this down somewhere because you will need it again. I tried all the other steps. Repairing, removing word and still didn't work. I even went through uninstalling all of office and reinstalling and it was still there!
