Microsoft Server Built in Mail Server (POP Problem)
Good Afternoon everyone, I have got my Server 2003 on a machine and for now untill a better budget comes through I am using the integrated Mail Server provided by Microsoft. i have installed it and set it all up and its receiving email fine. When I first tried to check mail using Telnet on the local system port 110 it wouldnt connect so I left it a day and next time I tried it worked perfectly. I then used a web app called Mail2Web to check my email which uses POP3 and it worked fine for about 3 days now thats just giving me an error. When I tried Telnet on port 110 localhost it don't working suprise suprise. I have tried all sorts including reboot the server but my emails are piling up and I think I have a couple of important ones so how the hell do I get pop3 working again? As far as I know there is no other program using Port 110 on there all the server has got on it is a website, this mail server and windows media streaming services. Can you help me please? Thanks, Max
