Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 audio quality

Hi!

We are a team in Ericsson Sweden working with eLearnings. We are trying to record audio to slides in PowerPoint. The recording works fine but when comparing to other recording software the sound quality is very bad when recording in PowerPoint. Is there any way the quality could be improved? Any settings in PowerPoint? We tested with same microphone in different software. One example was testeing recording the voice with Articulate Voice recording in PowerPoint and compared that with the "insert" "audio" "Record audio" function. The sound quality was so much better with Articulate recording compared to PowerPoint.

If you have any idea how this could be improved we would appriciate it a lot. Getting Articulate is rather expensive and not everyone we work with can buy this software. Whay it would be great if they could use the built in solution in PowerPoint.

Thanks

Hi Anna Pellns,

As far as I know, this is a known issue in PowerPoint 2010, and more people are discussing this in this post:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-powerpoint/powerpoint-2010-audio-recording-quality-is-poor/5d0c06e5-c33c-4cda-a85b-e7ef1f3f99d5

We might try the workaround in that post. (Please note: It's a tutorial video)

Hope it's helpful.
