Hi,If you are logging on the same domain as Exchange and with same user id of the mailbox then you should not get password prompt.check the outlook configuration, if Exchange proxy settings are correctly configured. That is check if authentication method (Basic or Internal) in Exchange proxy seting is same as what is configured on exchange. by going to email accounts --> Change --> More settings ---> Connection --> exchange proxy settings --> proxy authentication settings.or You can disable the outlook anywhere configuartion if it is not required. By going to email accounts --> Change --> More settings ---> Connection and then uncheck Connect to exchange using HTTP.Check the following links for more info.http://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-xp-tips/configure-outlook-2007-to-work-over-http-using-rpc-protocol/http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/outlookrpchttp.htmlhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrclients/thread/bc67310e-8133-4b77-be3b-380f0b0b4184http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;820281-V

Hi, From your description, I guess that the user failed to logon Outlook and prompted for authentication repeatedly even after providing correct credential. If I am off base, please let me know. Regarding the issue, please let me know whether only one user encountered the problem? If yes, please have the problem user logon another known good Outlook client to check whether the issue persists. In addition, please let me know how the Outlook connect to Exchange Server, Outlook Anywhere or MAPI connection directly. Please also check whether any related error event is logged on Exchange Server when the issue occurs. Currently I got a customer that running with Windows 7 with Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 and connected to Windows SBS 2008 64-bit. My customer didn't have any problem accessing OWA from internal and external but my issue is when she/he launch Microsoft Office Outlook, the system asking for uername and password? I should type the username with domain name right? But I already a few time but still didn't get the correct username and password? The issue appears to be related to two Windows updates that were made available through Windows Update around 2009-12-08 (8th Dec): KB971737 and KB973917. The first link is to the SBS Diva, the second to the TechNet SBS Partner site. Both suggest that you should install Exchange SP1 Rollup 9. You could take this a step further and go for Exchange SP2 with RU1 (see last link), but then make sure that you have installed Windows 2008 SP2.SBS 2008 suddenly prompts for network creds for e-mail constantly Seeing folks indicate they are getting constant prompts for network credentials that appear to have popped up after that non security security advisory bundle of extended authentication packages got installed. Early reports are that you need to ensure that Update Rollup 9 of Exchange 2007 sp1 is installed on that SBS 2008 box.http://msmvps.com/blogs/bradley/archive/2009/12/15/sbs-2008-suddenly-prompts-for-network-creds-for-e-mail-constantly.aspx SBS 2008 suddenly prompts for network creds for e-mail constantly: http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/partnerwinserversbs/thread/9f7ced8b-625d-40ff-b4d2-0bc6062ffefeExchange 2007 SP2 Installation Tool For SBS 2008 Releasedhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/exchangesoftwareupdate/thread/8bd29a3d-29bb-42f6-94c6-1a7bd76fb33d MCTS: Messaging | MCSE: S+M | Small Business Specialist
