Microsoft Office Plus Professional 2010 - outlook problems

I purchased this product via a deal with my previous employer, received the email, downloaded the product, entered the product key, all works well

Recently Outlook started to display the error message "Out of memory or system resources.  Close some windows or programs and try again" when I tried to delete items from the Junk Folder.

Rebooted, closed down every process and program I could find, problem persisted.  Took Laptop to local mender who said the beast was fine and still Outlook persisted with error message.

After googling, went into control panel and selected Change and Repair.  Now Outlook won't work at all but just cycles through attempting to open, aborting and/or stalling and retrying.

Next step would be to uninstall / reinstall but my product key is in my now unuseable Outlook.

Is there any way I could

     a) repair Outlook so it works.  all other Office programs are OK

     b) get hold of my product key from a registry.  I have since left the company which enabled the purchase so going back to them is not an option

     c) I don't know what c) is I just want a working product

Any and all help gratefully received

Hi,

you can recover lost product from registry using 3rd party tool or script:
http://www.howtogeek.com/206329/how-to-find-your-lost-windows-or-office-product-keys/

Have you tried running outlook.exe with /safe parameter?

If you have installation package, uninstall Office 2010 and install again - https://support.office.com/en-au/article/Uninstall-or-remove-Office-2010-90635a1d-aec8-4653-b358-67e1b766fc4d?ui=en-US&rs=en-AU&ad=AU

Good luck

Thanks for the suggestions

I have "setupproplusretail.x86.en-us_act_1_.exe" in my download folder, which looks hopeful but reinstallation will surely require a Product Key?

Used a third party which found a Product Key (20 digits) and a CD key (25 digits).  when I tried re-accessing product from MS site, it wouldn't accept the 20 digits and when I put the 25 digits in instead it said it was blocked from use

will try the /safe parameter and see if that brings me any joy

Cheers

Check this webpage to find out how to get Office product key from registry.

ProduKey by NirSoft should help.

Once you get the product key, you can uninstall and reinstall office with a product key you have recovered. I would recommend you to make a backup of your system before installation to have some "undo" option.

OK, recover product key from registry (download produkey http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html), make backup (if possible), uninstall office and reinstall it.
