Microsoft Office Outlook is synchronizing folders
Last week a few of our users have noticed that Outlook 2007 Send/Receive gets hung at 50% and will not complete. Any idea why this could be happening?

You need to check event log in server to find out this. Also it can be check by go into outlook connection setting and auto mail connection option to check it. There can be several cause for this issue like, high resource utlization in server, Network issue etc.Anil MCC 2011,ITIL V3,MCSA 2003,MCTS 2010, My Blog : http://messagingschool.wordpress.com

Can the affected user send/receive email message when the issue occurs? Based on my experience, the issue might be caused by the following affects: Third party addins or applications; Corrupted profile; Huge Mailbox size; So, I’d suggest you try the steps below to isolate the fault: 1. Remove all addins and then try again to see if the issue continues; 2. Run Windows in Safe mode with Network connection, it will isolate the fault from startup applications; 3. Create a new Windows profile or a new Outlook profile to test; 4. Verify the mailbox folder size; Hope it is helpful. Fiona

Thank you for your suggestions. I tried them all and I am still having the problem. Most of our users are in cached mode and if you take them out of it, it fixes the problem. I am not in cached mode and am having the problem. Any more suggestions?
