Microsoft Office Communicator

I am looking for information regarding setting up a test environment to run some experiments with 2 Microsoft Office Communicator clients and the necessary server component to support IM, video and voice between the 2 clients. I have the hardware and the LAN, and am basically looking for guidance on constructing the server component. I currently have a Windows 2000 Server with IIS and SQL server installed which I use for some other testing. The hardware is 2 GB RAM 1 or 2 3GHz Xeon processors, a Compaq smart array controller running a few scsi drives - notsure of the config details but the C drivehas 18G andthe D drive128G. I am hoping to obtain the necessary server software components as eval/trial from Microsoft, and ideally preserving the existing Windows 2000 server environment as as I would like to retain rthe existing functionality. I am under the impression that the Communicator clients require Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005 with SP1 which requires Server 2003 as a minimum. Can I install these using some type of VM software on the Windows 2000 Server box in order to retin the existing 2000 Server environment. Any advice would be appreciated - thanks
