Hey everyone,

I have a user that has been having an issue lately with their Word and Excel files. If the user has one file open and then minimizes the window in order to open another, it opens a second window in the task bar with the title of the document but it is just a blank square. Clicking on the first document will restore it but clicking the second does nothing and then it closes. At that time, the event log flags an APPCRASH. This is Office 2013. Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

Do you have any add-ins installed in your Word and Excel applications? We can first try disabling all available add-ins in both Word and Excel and then test the issue again.

To disable add-ins in Word or Excel, please follow:

1. Open Word 2013 or Excel 2013.
2. Click on File -> Options -> Add-ins.
3. Under Manage select -> COM Add-ins.
4. Click on GO options beside Manage, uncheck all the add-ins and click OK.

Please let me know the result.

In addition, if above doesn't fix the issue, would you please provide the event log to us so that we can check if there is any useful information?
