Microsoft Exchange Edge & OWA
Dear Sir,I'm adding a new MS Exchange Edge Transport Server to my network to be located in my DMZ, currentlyclients have access to theHub Transport Serveras they connect to OWA, not afteradding the edge transport server andput back exchangehub transport in the inside network, clients are not able toconnect to OWA, i thought that Edge transport will also handle request for theOWA.Is there anyway to make edge server forward owa requests to the exchange server ?Please help me in this senario.Best Regards,Malek Saxon

Hi,There is no way to have edge servers handle OWA.Edge servers are for SMTP message handling only (antispam and antivirus).OWA clients must connect directly to an CAS server (or proxied through an ISA server).Leif

Hi,No, it won't work no matter what you do. Remember that anedge server is not part (and should not be) of the active directory and therefore has no knowledge on where a user mailbox is located.OWA clients must connect to a CAS server or a proxy server.Leif
