Microsoft Exchange Connection Status
Under Type I have 4 listed as Directory and 2 listed as Mail all with connection as TCP\IP. If I change to use Outlook anywhere and insert the sbs 2008 server remote address I keep getting prompted for the password and never connects using HTTPS.

I dont see any DNS records for autodiscover. Should be a cname of autodiscover.avconti.info pointing at the external ip address of the CAS. ( Assuming smtp addresses are @avconti.info)

Hi acmsoft, From your description, I understand that when you use Outlook anywhere, Outlook clients can’t connect to the Exchange Server and are prompted for authentication repeatedly, this is because Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0, the Web server role in Windows Server 2008, has kernel mode enabled by default for Integrated Windows authentication. So when you encounter this situation, you can follow these steps to troubleshoot the problem: 1. Disable kernel mode in Integrated Windows authentication on the computer running the Exchange 2007 SP1 Client Access server role on Windows Server 2008. Type the following command in cmd: %systemroot%\system32\inetsrv\AppCmd.exe set config /section:system.webServer/security/authentication/windowsAuthentication /useKernelMode:false /commit:apphost 2. Stop and start IIS on the Exchange 2007 SP1 Client Access server running Windows Server 2008. a. Click Start->Run b. In the Open box, type the following file path. %windir%\system32\inetsrv c. Right-click Appcmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator. d. Type the following commands to stop IIS at the site level: Stop Site MySite Set Site MySite /serverAutoStart:false e. Type the following commands to start IIS at the site level: Start Site MySite Set Site MySite /serverAutoStart:true Here is the referral link which may help: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd421847(EXCHG.80).aspx If you have any other problem, please let me know and I will be glad to help you. Thank you, Tyler
