Hi Rashid, Have a read thru http://www.msexchange.org/articles/Exchange-Databases-Disk-Consumption.html There are specialized tools out in the market, but why would you need to access these files directly?Blog Link: http://blogs.cyquent.ae | Follow us on Twitter: @cyquent

thanks adnan, I have already read through this artical today morning. but the information i need is not mentioned in. we need to use the the datasbase to integrate it with our SQL server inhouse database that we are using in our inhouse applications. Can you please tell me about the tools available to view & use Exchange database files? Is .edb & .stm databases are made by some changes in sql server? Regards Rashid

1. You shouldn't access the database with tols, it's not recommended and supported to do this. You normally do via hte MAPI client, i.e Outlook. 2. The database is different to a SQL database and cannot be opened using SQL. 3. What do you want to integrate with SQL? What are you trying to achive? Sukh
