Messages forwarded by a rule contain different language
Hello all, I have an account on Exchange Server called "Journal" where I use to journal all incoming messages on the serverthen auto-forward some of those according to some server rules. Recently, I noticed when I receive those messages the "Fw:" is replaced by Arabic characters (which means Forwarded in Arabic). Date and time are replaced as well. I'm not sure what's wrong. I removed the Arabic locale from the exchange server and yet this is still happening Any ideas ?

Hi, Thank you for contacting Microsoft TechNet Exchange forum. For better troubleshooting the problem, I would like to clarify below questions firstly. 1) Whats your transport servers topology? Please general introduce your server roles information. 2) How do you setup the journaling rule and server rule? What the recipient you want to auto-forward? 3) Does this problem only for journaling and auto-forward message? Based on the current situation, you can try to verify your remote domain settings by below steps. 1. Open EMC->Organization Configuration-> Hub Transport->Remote domain. How many remote domain create in here? 2. Please check default properties of each Remote domain by right click it choose properties. 3. Switch to form of original message sent as attachment to journal report. 4. Please check the "character sets" Does it choose as Arabic? 5. Please verify this setting one by one if there are multiple Remote domain. If you want to sent me attachments, you can contact me at here . You may take journal email samples to clarify it clearly so that Im able to try reproducing the issue in my side. Regards, Jason

Thanks for your reply. And for sorry for my late reply, I was on vacation. I don't have any transport servers. I have ONE Exchange Server (running 2003) which is also the domain server. Simply, I set it to "Archive all messages" to an account called "journal" From that accout, I create some rules to forward messages to my email based on some criteria. This is the only way I was able to achieve "selective journaling" I don't have EMC since I'm using Exchange 2003. I removed Arabic from all the locales yet it still occurs. is there a setting I am missing ?? Thanks again.
