Messages Queued for Deferred Delivery
We have Exchange 2003 server and we are experiencing some missing emails internally. Some emails sent internally are not going through. During the troubleshooting of this i noticed that there were emails in the exchange server queue. There are 11 of them sitting in the "Messages Queued for Deferred Delivery" queue. is there a reason they are there and are not sent? Can we resend them from the queue? I found this technet article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/32e85e48-1a58-46c3-8f0d-f94df467ad41.aspx But the items that are said to cause this problem do not fit our problems. We were not doing any of the listed reasons for this to occur. Can you please help me figure out what is happening? Thanks

The difficult this with this is it was only 11 messages 1 afternoon, there are no other messages since then. I can view the message info those messages only, messageid, sender, reciever, subject, priority, time of submission, etc. Not the content of the message though. Can you push the messages out while they are in there?

Once you have message tracking going on. Open message Tracking and find the message that is stuck in queue. I would look for something that is stuck in the categorizer or something like that. Let us know. Thanks
