When you say "messages over the size limit keep trying to resend" what do you mean? a bounceback is normal behavior. Mike Crowley A+, Network+, Security+, MCT, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP: Enterprise Administrator / Messaging Administrator

Thanks for your replySo the client's sysetm will keep resending the email to the exchange server thru smtp till it reaches 10240 kb then the server rejects it, the the clients system repeates the process untill i stop the smtp servers and manualy delete it from the que. This is normal ?

No unless I'm misunderstanding, its not normal. Are we talking about Outlook 2003/2007? Cached mode or online mode?If I am capped at 5MB and I try to send a 20 MB file (in cached mode) Outlook will send the 20MB, it will hit transport and then be rejected and bounced back to the user. Once I get the bounce back I believe there is a "send again" button, but it doesnt click itself automatically...can you try this from a different machine / account? I'm wondering if its a specific client configuration issue. Mike Crowley A+, Network+, Security+, MCT, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP: Enterprise Administrator / Messaging Administrator
