Message Recalled from a user not included in E-Mail

Hi!

We tried to recall a message in Exchange 2013 sent to internal users and received the recall confirmation emails but we also received the confirmation email from a user which was not included in the address field while sending the message.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi

Can you please try doing a message tracking for this transaction and see if you get any additional information

Hi,

As Sathish mentioned the best way to deal with this is message tracking.

Possibilities are as below:

1. Transport Rule for Email Forwarding

2. Outlook Rule for AutoForwarding

3. Email forwarding for a mailbox is configured

Set-Mailbox -Identity "Douglas Kohn" -DeliverToMailboxAndForward $true -ForwardingSMTPAddress "douglaskohn.parents@fineartschool.net"

4. If its a meeting request then there might be delegates for receipents, who gets it forawrded.

NOTE:- In all these cases if we have a Distribution List as the target, there will be more possibilities.

Hi,

Great suggestion as above mentioned.
In addition, is it always happened when recall message?
If not, we can focus on this individual message and run message tracking log to find details about this issue.

Thanks
