Message Failure
Hi All I am having trouble with exchange 2003 and some messages users sending coming back. I have checked that reverse dns is correct along with the mail addresses being sent to. Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients. Subject: RE: ACTION REQUESTED: Feedback on Solutions Sent: 04/05/2011 15:17 The following recipient(s) cannot be reached: Mark Russell on 04/05/2011 15:18 There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email server. Please contact your system administrator. <mail.mydomain.com #5.5.0 smtp;550-mail.mydomain.com [xx.xx.xx.xx]:40775 is currently not permitted to> Would I be right in saying that this issue would be with the recipients server? I have a hand full of rejections Thanks Glenn

The recipient is rejecting the connection from your server for some reason. Unfortunately their NDR doesn't give enough information on why. You would need to contact the recipient's admin to see why, or use an SMTP Connector to route email for that domain through your ISPs SMTP server. If your server is configured correctly, with a valid PTR and SMTP banner set on the SMTP virtual server, then that is probably your only option. Agree with Simon, NDR saya that remote SMTP server have intermitent issue. Did you try to send email with other mail ID (yahoo, google etc) and test it. You must check with remote site only if you don;t have issue to sending mail to other domain. Anil

If you can’t send email to some special domains, it always due to your domain is blocked. Please make sure your Exchange server is not in black list. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
