Meeting cannot be found in the Calendar - recovery steps?

I'm running MS Office Home & Business 2010, MS Outlook V14.0.7015.1000 (32-bit) and for the second time this year, a repeating invitation that I created has disappeared off of my Outlook calender although it still shows up for all invitees.

All I want to do is to restore / recreate the meeting on my PC so that I can make and send updates for the original meeting to the invitees. Is this possible, and if so, how can I do this?

I am not running Exchange - I use a stand-alone version of Office / Outlook on the PC that I use for my small business. Also, based on what I've seen on other forum posts, I never modify any Outlook meetings from my mobile device (iPhone 5) although I do periodically synch my Outlook appointments, contacts, etc. via iTunes.

Hi,

Have you tried the Recover Selected Items button?

To do this, go to Folder tab, in the Clean Up group, you can find the Recover Selected Items button.

Please refer to the following article to get more details:

Hope this helps.

Hi Stan,

Recover Selected Items only works in conjunction with Microsoft Exchange. I am not running Exchange - I use a stand-alone version of Office / Outlook on the PC that I use for my small business.

If there is a way to restore an invitation for a repeating series of meetings that has disappeared (possibly due to a corrupted PST file or corrupted Outlook software), it would probably involve recreating a verbatim copy of the original invitation, including whatever code allows sending updates to invitees. I don't know how to do this, or if it's possible, but I'm sure someone at Microsoft with a deep understanding of Outlook functionality can answer my question.

Let me know your thoughts.

Best,

Mr. Jonathan
