Mapi session maximu exceeded
The error i get on exchange 2007:Mapi session "bea071a1-99ce-4c93-86ba-8b559fb44572" exceeded the maximum of 500 objects of type "objtMessageView"I think i found the solution for this error, but what i want to know is how to determine wich user/computer is creating this session. Is there a way to translate the mapi GUID user or pcname?Thanx

You can use method available in below article to find username for GUID.The description of the event ID 9646 message includes a GUID instead of a recipient namehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/899663And I guess you found workaround or solution about it in below article. An Exchange 2007 Server Stops Responding to a MAPI Clienthttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb676486.aspxAmit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

Thanx Amit. I immediately tried the MS article using LDP.Thing is i don't get an entry are Matched DN. The proces is simple. Changing the format of the GUID is most likely the place i can do something wrong. But i checked this 7, 8 times, and i think it's correct. Mapi session "bea071a1-99ce-4c93-86ba-8b559fb44572" exceeded the maximum of 500 objects of type "objtMessageView".The GUID i used in LPD is:\a1\71\a0\be\ce\99\93\4c\86\ba\8b\55\9f\b4\45\72\dc))Output LPD:***Searching...ldap_search_s(ld, "DC=RootDomain,DC=int", 2, "(&(objectclass=*)(msExchMailboxGuid=\a1\71\a0\be\ce\99\93\4c\86\ba\8b\55\9f\b4\45\72\dc))", attrList, 0, &msg)Result <0>: (null)Matched DNs: Getting 0 entries:Am i missing something..Thanx

How to: Find the user/computer that caused the error 9646? Mapi session "bea071a1-99ce-4c93-86ba-8b559fb44572" exceeded the maximum of 500 objects of type "objtMessageView" The formatted GUID shall be \a1\71\a0\be\ce\99\93\4c\86\ba\8b\55\9f\b4\45\72, however, yours is \a1\71\a0\be\ce\99\93\4c\86\ba\8b\55\9f\b4\45\72\dc So, please try my formatted GUID again via LDP. Also, please try to filter below: (&(objectclass=*)(objectGUID=\a1\71\a0\be\ce\99\93\4c\86\ba\8b\55\9f\b4\45\72)) If the method above still not works, please use ldifde.exe: a. Go to DC b. Start->Run->cmd Ldifde -f c:\MailboxGuid.ldf -s DCName -d "dc=DomainName,dc=com" -p subtree -r "(&(objectclass=*)(msExchMailboxGuid=\a1\71\a0\be\ce\99\93\4c\86\ba\8b\55\9f\b4\45\72))" -l "cn And Ldifde -f c:\objectGUID.ldf -s DCName -d "dc=DomainName,dc=com" -p subtree -r "(&(objectclass=*)(objectGUID=\a1\71\a0\be\ce\99\93\4c\86\ba\8b\55\9f\b4\45\72))" -l "cn c. Open output files by using Notepad, see if we can get the user info

Thank you very much James. You're right. My formatted GUID was wrong. Without "dc" the filter works.I copied the syntax from the MS article Amat posted. Why didn't i have to use "dc". What does it stands for? Domain Controller??I did try the Ldifde method, but those didn't show any entries.Anyway, thanks.
