Make mailbox inactive until user logs in for the first time
Hello! Can anyone help me with a piece of advice on how to configure user mailboxes in Exchange 2007 so that they do not accept any e-mail until the users logs on for the first time? TIA, Janis

I think this is not possible automatically and admin has to set mail send/receive restriction manually through transport rule except one email address and send an email to new mailbox with some instruction that when you login first time, you need to send an email to that one ID and admin will release your mail flow...Amit Tank | MVP Exchange Server | MCITP: EMA | MCSA: M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

I'm curious what the goal is here. Dont you want it to accept any mail sent to it regardless if the user has logged on the first time or not?

Janis; If you don't want users receiving mail until they login for the first time, don't create mailboxes till after the first login :)Karl
