Mailstore storage limit - does an event log?
Hi all,Im wondering if there is anyway to determine if a user is receiving an email to warn that their mailbox is nearing/over the limit set. Does exchange log an event to show this? If not, is there any way of finding out that a user is indeed receiving these emails?Cheers.

You can turn up the Diagnostic Logging for MSExchangeIS to have an entry added to the Application log when the limits are reached (see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/235895), but I don't believe there's a way to do so when the Store sends out the warning e-mails.Which version of Exchange is this, by the way?

Hi, The KB235895 provided by Michael also works for Exchange 2003. You could check the result in event viewer. In Exchange 2003, we could turn up logging level at ESM | Administrative Groups | Administrative Groups | servers | server name | properties | Diagnostics Logging | MSExchangeIS | Mailbox | set the logging level to Maximum. In Exchange 2007, we could turn up logging level by running cmdlet Set-Eventloglevel. Thanks, Elvis
