Mails from Sun Servers.
Dear All,I need your help to solve one issue which I am facing. ISSUE DetailEarlier we are using the settings of Exchange Server 2007 in which there is no need of authentication while sending the mail and through this settings we are getting mails from SUN Server mailx program. Now we have set the Exchange Server 2007 for SMTP authentication i.e user needs to be authenticated before sending the mail through this we have achieved one goal i.e we have stopped the viruses and anonymous users to send the mails but this has blocked the important mails from the SUN Server. My Question is that can I allow one IP/IPs to send the mails without authentication and rest with the authentication?

Hi Sunil,You can create a receive connector to receive mail from one IP or rangeof IPs(in your case your Sun server) anonymously on your hub transport server, something similar as per below article...Allowing application servers to relay off Exchange Server 2007http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/12/28/432013.aspxAmit Tank || MVP - Exchange || MCITP - Exchange 2007 || http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
