Mails from OWA and Outlook are getting stuck in Draft folder, Exchange server 2013.

Hi,

I have recently installed Exchange server 2013 for the communication of Internal users, It was working fine for two days and mails were flowing In and Out with out any issues. Suddenly all mails sending are getting stuck in Draft folder... tried resolution steps like editing DNS lookup from ECP and others steps related to DNS, but nothing is working, Still the mails are stuck in draft folder.. Please help to resolve this issue..

Note: Exchange server 2013 was installed after removing Exchange server 2003 from the domain.

Thanks,

Hi Sadesh,

It could be an issue with DNS please check this http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731991.aspx
Try restarting Exchange Mailbox Transport Submission & Exchange Mailbox Assistants services...

Hi,

First checked the setting of send connector, if (Use the external DNS lookup settings on servers with transport roles) is marked then please unchecked the box and restart the transport service.

Run get-TransportService | fl *dns*, to make sure that no external DNS settings configured.

If any external DNS setting is set then to remove it, run Set-TransportService -ExternalDNSAdapterEnabled $true -ExternalDNSServers $null.

Now, after restarting the transport service, all mails in Draft folder are gone.

Hi,

Great advice from above.

Do you have change any configuration before this issue arise? please try to complete the above suggestion first.

If the issue persists, please run below command to check the healthy of Exchange server component:
Get-ServerComponentstate -Identity servername

If the state is Inactive, please run below command to active relevant component:
Set-ServerComponentState <Identity> -Component component name -Requester HealthAPI -State Active

More details about Server Component States in Exchange 2013, please refer to:
