Mailflow isn't working after renew of Edge Server subscription due to site-change
Hello! Because of a change in site(name) we had to renew our edge-subscription. We renewed it at both the HUB and EDGE-servers. A test of the subscription showed successful communication on all points, but mail keeps on queuing from outside on the edge-servers. There are no event loggings which indicate errors. Some websites suggest corrupt certificates, but still we have no indiciation that proves corruption. Can anyone help us out? The other solution would be returning to the previous site(name). Thanks in advance!

Hi, Have you enter the new name in SANs entry if no than check it also check your send connector . Also I will recommend you message tracking that where the mails go down ? Let me know if there is some errors. Regards. Shafaquat Ali.M.C.I.T.P Exchange 2007/2010, M.C.I.T.P Windows Server 2008, M.C.T.S OCS Server 2007 R2, Phone: +923008210320

Hi Ed-man, It should be work after you remove and recreate the subscription. Do you mean there is no error events in both EDGE and HUB? How many EDGE and HUB servers do you have? Please make sure AD replication is finished. What about internal mails? Can you telnet from EDGE to HUB? Hi Frank, The original site-mame was still mentioned in the registry of the edge-server(s) and had to be changed manually to the new sitename. It could have been done by recreating the connector, but that would have led to an empty queue, hence a loss of all mail. Sorry for the late response, holiday-time...

1) Create a new certificate on the hub. 2) Create a new certificate on the edge. 3) While on the edge, create a new subscription. 4) On the hub, import the new subscription and MAKE sure you point to the NEW site-name that has the DC/GC. 5) From the edge, issue an edge synchronization.
