Mailbox size is growing
Hello,
I have written some code to covert an eml file to msg. this code uses redemption dll.
I need to connect to a mailbox and create a temporary mail item for this conversion.
After the conversion is over, I delete this mail item.
However I notice that the mailbox size is growing... when I connect to this mailbox using OWA, I see that it is empty... but still its size is growing.
I am told the only way is for me to reset the mailbox db... but I want to avoid that.
Is there a way to prevent the size from growing?

It's most likely deleted item retention.

Then ensure your maintenance schedule is at the desired setting.

Just to clarify, deleted item retention, i.e., the dumpster, does not count in the mailbox size. The Deleted Items folder does. The dumpster content will affect the mailbox database size, however.
