Mailbox server web services proxy issue

One of our 3 mailbox servers gives us an error when mailbox databases are mounted on it.

All web services are not functioning properly, there is an event log error for each web service web.config file saying file not found, If I open each web.config file and look at the line in question they all point to:

<assemblies>
        <add assembly="Microsoft.Exchange.Security, Version=15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35" />
      </assemblies>

Does anyone know what this is pointing at or what my server is missing?

It is Exchange 2013 Sp1 RU7 as are my other 2 mbx servers which work fine...

all pre-req's are installed as I double checked and no difference between the 3 mbx servers that I can

Hi KingMT,

Thank you for your question.

By my studying on your event log. we could install .Net 4.5.2 on Exchange mailbox server to check if issue persist.

We could download it by the following link:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-hk/download/details.aspx?id=42642

If the issue persist, we could install a new mailbox server and copy SharedWebConfig.config in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\ClientAccess to 3 mailbox, then we restart mailbox server.

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim

This version of .NET was already installed, I have repaired it as I installed v2 & v3 so I could run the Exchange Best Practice Analyser that asks for this... I have already tried replacing the web.config file for each web service with no luck

Hi King,

Did you replace SharedWebConfig.config instead of webconfig.config in C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\ClientAccess?

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim
