Mailbox move questions
1. Are the items in the "deleted items" folder lost when youmove a mailbox to a different store?2. How common are corrupt messages found in mailbox? (Have to have all the mailboxes moved and won't be able to check with any users on the weekend)2a. What is the most common or best metholdto select for dealing with corrupt items? (ie Do no move the mailbox or move the mailbox up to so many corrupt items)Plan.Move the mailboxes to a new store on a temporary array on same server. Dismount and delete the old store. (HDD space will be recovered at this point?)Move the new store back to the original location by changing the database location on properties. The store is approimxately 130GB. Anyone share their rough estimates for how long this process takes? Thanks.

1. the deleted item will be there.2. depends on the state of the Database. All depends on how B Tree structure of the database is.3.Move mail box is the best option. another option is use exmrge and export all the mails to pst . This will take of all the corupt items from mail box.Cant say exactly how much time it will take, bit sure it will take some thing aorund 6-8 hours.Raj

Do I need to move the system attendant? When moving from one store to another, systemmailbox and SMTP are recreated. What about system attendant?I can delete the old store and then move the new store back to the original array? Stop and start the Microfsoft exchange information store service to recreate the system attendant on the new store? Will it lose all the current busy messages? Thanks.
