Mailbox has reached it's limit on Outlook 2010 on exchange 2003
We have recently upgraded to Office 2010 from 2003 and one of the features we have found missing in Outlook 2010 is the Mailbox Cleanup window popping up when the user's mailbox is full. In Outlook 2003 when the user had exceeded their mailbox size the Mailbox Cleanup window would pop up. This made it very obvious to them that they could not send anymore emails until the reduced their mailbox size. In Outlook 2010 the messages just sits in the Outbox with almost no warning that there is an issue. The only thing that shows up in a Send/Receive error at the bottom of the Outlook window. We are on Exchange 2003 and would like to know how we can get the message to appear outlook 2010 like it did on outlook 2003? Thanks

Hi As far as I know, outlook 2010 doesn’t offer this function. My suggestion is that you can use clean tool to archive email and reduce the size. You can read this article. If your exchange version is 2010, you can use mailtip. http://blogs.office.com/b/microsoft-outlook/archive/2009/08/12/introducing-mailtips.aspx This is outlook problem not exchange problem. So you can post it to professional outlook forum http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/outlook/threadsPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
