Mailbox Storage Array Sizing and Rebuild Rate
I have a question about what-else Exchange Mailbox storage sizing. I use Exchange 2007 Storage Calculator, and I received 100 FC disk for database LUN, If I use RAID1/10/5 rebuild overhead Percentage = 0. If I use recommended values for RAID rebuild overhead Percentage (35% and 100%), I received 120 FC disk for database. My question is - if I use 100 discs for database LUN, and rebuild overhead take place (for example, IOPS decrease 30% and take 10 hours) , what will happen? If will be just slow response for users, or it queues can dramatically grow and messages can delay for an hours? Thanks in advance.
