Mailbox Size Limits Exchange 2003
So I get mailbox size limits approved from management and then "DOH" I get bit by this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/930366. Has anyone see any issues withmodifying these values using ADSIEdit? Issue warning at (KB) mDBStorageQuota Prohibit send at (KB) mDBOverQuotaLimit Prohibit send and receive at (KB) mDBOverHardQuotaLimit For the Microsoft techs monitoring the forum: 1. Are there issues with using ADSIEdit to increase these over the GUI limit? 2. Why was this capped at 2GB? 3. Are these limitations still there in Exchange 2007?

1. no problem, just make sure you follow the instructions. ADSIEDIT is a powerfull and dangerous tool. 2. Something in the code is all i can figure. Maybe 5 years ago when it RTM'd a 2GB mailbox was much less common (i remember execs having 100mb limits back in exchange 5.5). 3. 2007 limit is 2147483647KB or 2048GB (hopefully you wouldn't need to over-ride that).
