Mailbox Move Fails In a Mixes 2003/2010 Environment
I am moving mailboxes from my Exchange 2003 server to my new Exchange 2010 server. I have ~100 users. I have move 80% of them without issue. I have hit a couple of mailboxes that have failed... The error is is below: Summary: 1 item(s). 0 succeeded, 1 failed. Elapsed time: 00:00:01 Dan Failed Error: Active Directory operation failed on LBDC01.Group.Corp. This error is not retriable. Additional information: Insufficient access rights to perform the operation. Active directory response: 00002098: SecErr: DSID-03150BB9, problem 4003 (INSUFF_ACCESS_RIGHTS), data 0 The user has insufficient access rights. Exchange Management Shell command attempted: 'LewisGroup.Corp/ECL Users/Dan' | New-MoveRequest -TargetDatabase 'EC' Elapsed Time: 00:00:01 I am logged in as the Administrator when doing these moves. I am doing them on my new Exchange server. I do not see any different permissions on the users that are able to be moves Vs. the 2 that have failed. Thank You, Scott

i did that... I found a LONG thread with this issue. What peole are doing is setting the skip up to and entering 5. They claim this is not a permission issue but a corrupt items in mailoxes. I did that with one mailbox and it moved. This is a common issue from what I see in the blogs.Thank You, Scott

hmmm.. if it is only with few mailboxes you can export it to pst and import it on 2010 server after creating a new mailbox for the same user..Kottees : My Blog : Please mark it as an answer if it really helps you.
