Mail enabled security groups in Exchange 2007
We're having some delivery issues with mail enabled global security groups created in Exchange 2003. I know that mail enabled global groups go away in Exchange 2007, and I want to convert our global security groups to universal security groups, but am concerned that such a change will alter their use as security principles. Can I convert a mail enabled global security group to universal and maintain the security principle attributes? These groups are used for permissions on files and folders.Ted

Universal security groups can be used to assign permissions to files and folders. That is not really how Microsoft intended it to be. The intention was to assign permissions to local groups, and then put the global or universal groups in to the local groups as members. However, what you want to do should work.Jim McBee - Blog - http://mostlyexchange.blogspot.com
