Mail delay in exchange 2010.
Hi,
Recently I had migrated our exchange 2007 server to exchange 2010 server. Earlier mail flow was working fine, after migration the mails from outside network or from internet are coming 5-7 min delay, with attachment it is coming 10 min
delay. Please find the setup details below.
Internet->CC firewall->Ironport-> Exchange cas/hub with NLB(2 Nos)-> Mailbox(DAG) (2 Nos).
Internal messages are flowing without any issue. , only messages coming from outside getting delay.
I had checked the ironport log, suppose I sent a mail from outside at 12: 30 AM, it receives at ironport at 12:31, then ironport process it for 40-5- sec and queue for dilevery, now it recieves at exchange hub end with 2-3 min delay.. here
is the problem,
Please suggest , do i need to tune the exchange settings or anything else.
Regards, Abhay Jagdish Singh.

Look in the message headers of a delayed message and see if you can see where the delay might be.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Hi,
In your log, I found that there are some features on your Exchange server to diagnose whether the email is spam email:
X-MS-Exchange-Organization-SenderIdResult: TempError
Received-SPF: TempError (cas-hub1.ndpl.com: error in processing during lookup of
abhay.s@live.com: DNS timeout)
I suspect that's the cause of the issue. Maybe you can disable the SPF feature or create the SPF record to make it work, then we can recheck this issue.
Thanks

Hello,
You could also set the level of protocol logging of your external mail flow connector to verbose and check if tarpit parameters "significantly" slow your mail flow.
