Mail Forwarding Set up - But I can't disable it!
Hi All, Exchange Version is 2007. It's worth mentioning that I recently migrated this system from Exchange 2003 to 2007. Server is SBS 2008. I've got a user with a local e-mail address (i.e. user@ourfqdn.com). At some stage (before I started managing this setup) someone decided her mail needed to be forwarded to her hotmail address (i.e. user@hotmail.com). How they implemented this forwarder, I do not know. I can't, for the life of me, find where this was done! I've checked: the exchange management console (Mail Flow Settings) her e-mail address in ADUC user object her SMTP addresses in exchange management console Checked everywhere in the SBS User Console to ensure no forwards are set up And there are NO references to user@hotmail.com anywhere, yet mails sent are going to the hotmail account! Where else can I check for a forwarder? Any help appreciated.

Did you check Outlook rules?

Sorry forgot to mention I did check that. That's one of the first things I checked - no cigar!

Sorry forgot to mention I did check that. That's one of the first things I checked - no cigar! Try starting Outlook with the /cleanrules switch ( which will wipe them out - save any you can see) and test. There could be a corrupt rule still hanging around. Did you also check to see if any transport rules could be the culprit?

Silly question but did you also check the transport rules?

Hi, Could you please try these commands? Set-mailbox –identity user –forwardingaddress $null Set-mailbox –identity user –DeliveryToMailboxAndForward $false Do you have any email gateway?

Hi All, Forgot to update this thread - I did some extensive testing last night, and it appears everything is working alright. Thanks for all the input!
