Mail Delivery Failure
Hi GuysI have a client who is getting a delivery falure report and I don't know what it's telling me.The snippet below appears to show the IP address of what it believes to be my host [62.193.225.116] but this IP address isn't the IP address to my mail server.Would this mean that my client has a problem with his DNS server which is giving out the wrong IP address for my domain?I've checked my MX records and they are pointing to the correct IP address - and I'm not getting any other problems from other clients. If anyone could help I'd appreciate it, my client obviously believes there's a problem at our end so I need to try and prove the fault one way or another SNIPPET (Below): SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPTTO:<myname@mmydomain.co.uk>: host mail.mydomain.co.uk [62.193.225.116]: 550 sorry, no mailbox here by that name. Hi, Sounds to me that there is a problem with the server they are trying to send to - that they are trying to send a mail to a non existing mailbox on the remote server. Leif
