Mail's Read & Unread Status
All What's wrong will make the following abnormal happen? 1. the e-mail message is not changed from unread to read 2. set mail asMark messages as read or unreadin outlook InBox, still cannot change from unread to read. 3. close Outlook and restart, every thing OK. comments: 1. Server Side Environment: 1.1 Exchange Server 2003 + Service Pack 2 1.2 none of error message in Event log 2. Client side Environment: 2.1 Mail client all using Outlook 2003 2.2 All Internet Message Access Protocolsetting are Microsoft Exchange Server 2.3 All Client are Installed Office 2003 Service Pack 3.

OWA? I have not try it yet. And comments for additional: client side envrionment: 1. All Internet Message Access Protocolsetting are Microsoft Exchange Server 2. All Client's Deliver new e-mail to the following locationare set to Personal folders 3. when some mail not changed from unread to read, always happend in Personal folders (outlook InBox)

All clients are not set to Cached Exchange Mode, And I will try the safe mode for outlook

not changed from unread to readhappend in someone's Outlook safe mode, just take look the following figure: any idea?

Hi Lance Erich, Per your information, the issue seems related with outlook end. Due to the issue just happen to the local pst folder and just some users, please ceate a new pst and confirm the issue whether still exists, or use other client to test the same user. Hi, What we see in the picuture is that you have enabled "Show total numberof items" on the folder. Easy to tell because the color is green and not blue. You can change that in the folder properties. Martina Miskovic
