Mac Clients promoting for Credentials Exchange Server 2007 SP2
Hi All, This is my third question to the forum in more than two years :) I have 3 Mac Clients they are getting prompt for credentials, these Clients are accessing the mailbox from Outside. All other client works just fine, i checked and found that after configuring the Mac Client it works find for 30 minute and after that it prompts for Credentials Exchange is 2007 SP2, Recently we installed SSL on the server it works smooth with all other clients. Except those 3 Mac Client which access the mailbox from outside. Thank you and waiting for all your geniuses update :) Gulab | Skype: gulab.mallah

What kind of Mac clients? Snow Leopard Mail, Entourage WebDAV or EWS, or Outlook 2011? After the Mac users have entered their credentials, do they have a connection? Is the certificate self-signed or commercial?MCTS: Messaging | MCSE: S+M

Hi Jon Thank you for your reply, Its Outlook2011, Yes they have connection and it works for 30 minute and then after they get the prompt saying Mail could not be received at this time. The server for account DomainName returned the error "Logon failure: unknown username or bad password" Your username /password or security setting may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password? NO YES We have commercial CertGulab | Skype: gulab.mallah

Must admit that I've never seen that problem. Been using all those Mac clients listed above with various versions of Exchange and doing some unofficial Mac support for our Exchange customers. My experience with Outlook 2011 so far is that it is a quite stable client. Wonder if the issue could be -- if I got you right -- that the Outlook profile initially was created without SSL, and now you have SSL. If so, it could at least be worth a try, to delete the profile and reconfigure it with Autodiscover.MCTS: Messaging | MCSE: S+M

There is a logging option: Turn logging on or off in Outlook for Mac 2011 http://mac2.microsoft.com/help/office/14/en-us/admin/item/cc82d660-9a9b-41ab-ab1c-b5c5db85e560?category=c9277f2c-d467-450c-8ea5-e1845ee6524a As a last resort, perhaps there are some known bugs (don't know). But I have been running Outlook 2011 with two Exchange accounts since its release: Exchange 2007 SP3 RU2 and Exchange 2010 SP1 RU2 without any issues. http://www.officeformac.com/productforums/ Do the clients run Snow Leopard? If so, try with Mail, Address Book and iCal, but do use Autodiscover. Experience tells that if Exchange is properly configured and all Exchange web-based services work, then all the Mac EWS-based will work. However, the same experience with earlier versions tell that a profile can be corrupt. Try to log in with another user on one of the machines and start a fresh profile. See it that helps.
