MS Security Update prevents internet access!!!
My Automatic Updates downloaded and installed an update which required restarting the computer. After the restart the internet connection is prevented. I did a System Restore to the day before and all was well until the Automatic Updates installed the update again. Then I lose the connection again. I did another system restore and all was well again until the Automatic Updates installed the update again. Itis update KB958644. I am currently running on the previous day's system but the computer keeps telling me to restart for the update to take effect but if I do that then I lose internet connection until I do another system restore. When Ito go to the Microsoft Express Update pageit tells me I must restart my computer becauseI haven't installed the update yet it won't let me access my update History or search for help. But when I restart then I can no longer access the internet and have to do another System Restore to be able to access the internet. How do I get out of this? Tom
