MS Online Live Mtg Options

We are testing out the online version of live meeting and I had two questions that are currently holding us back from moving forward with using this as our standard solution (currently using gotomeeting which has everything we want except video):

1. Is there a way to have both integrated/computer audio as well as the telephone conferencing option? We would like to have a phone number/access code available to users that do not have mic/speakers on their PC's, but to also have the integrated option available for all meetings. When I select the telephone conferencing option, my only option in the drop-down-list is 'Other'. What do I need to do to get other options in there that will allow me to make both available for my meetings?

2. When we share our screens or applications for meetings, 95% of the time we are sharing what is on our 2nd monitor. In the current Live mtg client, when I do this, the other attendees only see a black box. It looks like this was fixed with the Live Mtg 2007 Service Release 9.1 (link below), but when I download the latest client and go to Help>About, it is showing version 8.0.6362.187. Is the Service Release on the client or server side? And when can I expect to see this working for my online services version?

Kyle,

In regards to your first point, yes, it is possible to include both Telephone and Computer Audio conferencing in your Live Meeting. This is referred to as Hybrid audio. In order to utilize Hybrid audio, you will need to be using a Certified Live Meeting partner to provide your telephone conferencing portion in order to achieve Hybrid audio. To my knowledge, the list of audio partners, includes, but may not be limited to the following conferencing providers:

Arkadin

 AT&T

 Bell Canada

 BT

 Conference Plus

 Elisa

 Encounter

 Global Crossing

 InterCall

  MeetYoo

 Netconnect

 Premiere Global

 Telmex

 Verizon Business

As for your second point, As of  7/27/2010 the Live Meeting 2007 Console version .190 is available for download through the Live Meeting website, here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/download-the-microsoft-office-live-meeting-2007-client-HA010173383.aspx

Also, here is the KB referencing the changes made in this version of the console: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2029026/en-us.

This KB does not state that the issue you are referring to has been resolved with this update, however nevertheless this may help to resolve your issue. Also, a black screen when sharing is usually indicative of hardware acceleration being set to full, which should optimally be set to "None".

Your sharing issue at a glance would appear to be caused by something other than the version of the Console itself.

Secure Desktops, such as UAC prompts and certain programs will normally appear as a black screen due to a bug. However, if you are sharing a variety of programs, this may not be the case.

This is not an answer.

Where can the Live Meeting Service Release 9.1 package be downloaded from?
