MS Office 2013 - File Save As SharePoint is missing

We noticed a recent change within our environment and cannot pin point the exact cause or resolution. In the past we where able, from every MS Office Product to perform a File \ Save As \ SharePoint this option is no longer available.

The only option now available is

Save As:

Other Web Locations

Computer

+ Add a Place

In the Past we had:

Save As:

SharePoint

Computer

+ Add a Place

Any assistance would be great!

Hi George, Thanks for your reply.

No, we do not have any connected services

The only option we have is File / Save As / Add a Place / Office 365 SharePoint

In the past we used to be able to do File / Save As and SharePoint would be displayed in our choices in all our Office Products (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote)

We are on a corporate network, with SharePoint infrastructure in place.

I am trying to add screenshots, but it doesn't allow me, saying "Body text cannot contain images or links until we are able to verify your account"

Hi,

As far as I know, we may save a file to a SharePoint library for the first time, and then we can click Save as you do for any file. This is by design. Please try the steps below:

1) Add the document (Excel file) to a document library on a SharePoint 2013 site

2) Click on the file within the SharePoint document library.

3) Click open in Excel

4) Save the file

5) Close Excel

6) Open Excel, select new Blank Workbook, File, Save As, "SharePoint" should now appear.

Next, There is a document available on the Microsoft site how to add custom providers to this list: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35474
