MSIS and MS Transport services need to be started manually
I have two NLB servers A and B. Exchange 2007 with Outlook 2007 ServerA: CAS, HUB and Mailbox Roles (Pub Folders) ServerB: CAS, HUB When I reboot ServerA two things happen; the MSIS and MS Transport services need to be started manually. any thoughts? thanks.

please reffer to event logs and check for events related to Microsoft Exchange ad topoloy, exchange transport and information store, please post events on forums that is where you start looking at. additionaly you might want to run exbpaDhruv

You could change them to a delayed start. That might work around your problem. You shouldn't be rebooting an Exchange server much, though, so it shouldn't be a big deal.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."
