MSExchange Availability Error
I've been asked why we continually are getting the following errors on Exchange. Event Type:ErrorEvent Source:MSExchange AvailabilityEvent Category:Availability Service Event ID:4011Date:3/10/2009Time:3:27:26 PMUser:N/AComputer:ExchangeDescription:Process 4352[w3wp.exe:/LM/W3SVC/1/ROOT/EWS-1-128809778751362582]: Configuration for forest midamericagrp.com was not found in Active Directory. Run the Add-AvailabilityAddressSpace command in the Exchange Management Shell for an Exchange Server 2003 Active Directory forest. To the best of my knowledge this error can be ignored. It stating that when Exchange is trying to lookup free busy information for a domain outside of its own (lacking permissions)you will get this error. Please tell me if that statement sounds correct. Thanks,D

What is the forest is not within your Active Directory forest (another companies Active Directory)?

Hi,Forest should be the one that has nodirect relationship with yours.Running the Add-AvailabilityAddressSpace Exchange Management Shell command to a domain in which you have no direct relationship is not an acceptable solution as this would not be a domain that you would add to your global "Accepted Domains" configuration. So far,we can ignore the event, but on busy CAS servers, this will add significant noise to the event logs.It could be fixed in the next version.Regards,Xiu
