MSExchangeSA service fails to start ex2007
I have a newly built Exchange 2007 Lab environment. Everything is working with the exception of the SA service. Mail is flowing through an Edge transport, CA/MB/HT roles are on one system, ISA publishes the CAS. No errors are reported with the exception of this: Event Type: Error Event Source: MSExchangeSA Event ID: 1005 Unexpected error A local error has occurred. Facility: Win32 ID no: 8007203b Microsoft Exchange System Attendant occurred. It is a lab environment and everything is virtualized and 32-bit. This may be an excuse but I would like to find an answer. The AD isparent/child domains; RootDC1, ChildDC1 are both Windows 2008. ChildDC2 is W2k3 and also a GC (Exchange would not install with only 2008 GCs??) Also, perhaps of note, during the first day of this installation the SA satrtup would error EventID 1005, An invalid dn syntax has been specified. Facility: LDAP Provider ID no: 80072032. Not sure if this is related or just replication. Thanks for any insight.

I could be wrong here, but i think once server 08 extends your schema you need the beta of exchange sp1. Have you got that running?
