MSExchangeIS ID: 8528 - strange sufix numbers added to username
Hi all, We are using Exchange 2007 SP2. I have got some issues with MSExchangeIS ID: 8528. In the some of this events I got something like: The mailbox for /o=CONTOSO/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=Name47171013 has exceeded the maximum mailbox size. This mailbox cannot send or receive messages. Incoming messages to this mailbox are returned to sender. The mailbox owner should be notified about the condition of the mailbox as soon as possible. I could find which user is affected with command: Get-Mailbox Name* | ft name, LegacyExchangeDN, but I am curious what are this numbers after Name? Thnx in advance, Svetozar

Try using 'get-mailbox -anr Name47171013'. The presence of those numbers implies that there is (or was) already a "Name" in the AD and the numbers were added to make a unique name. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
