MSExchangeIS Event ID 1085 referring to code page 4095
I found an article that refers to code pages http://support.microsoft.com/kb/150977/en-us but 4095 is not listed. Here's the full error: Some data referred to the code page 4095 that is currently not supported by the operating system. Install support for this language in the Regional Option in the Windows Control Panel. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp

I have no idea. There's no other entries related to this of any sort around this entry. I will look at the message tracking logs around that time. I should have also mentioned that this is 2007 SP3.

I haven't seen that one in a while. What version of Exchange / Windows are you running? Code Page 4095 is "Vatican City" in Windows 2003/XP.

Hi Thanks to share KB which you find. Let’s talk about our issue. Analysis: ================ Code page number 4095 is not a valid value. If the client sends an email with a language that the server cannot recognize, this problem will happen. Solution: ================ We can install some language pack to resolve this problem. You also need check environment. a. Did you install any FAX software or OCR software on the Exchange server or/and client computers? b. Verify if the client computers which send "x-user-defined" cause the 4095 issue. c. Are there any MAC email clients in your organization? They will cause event 1085 error.

We have a pretty diverse user base with users from many countries, so this very plausible. Would the client get a message about the un-supported language? I will further investigate, I still haven't looked at the message tracking logs which should hopefully narrow down the user that cause this. I was more or less verifying the severity of this issue since it was a critical event I couldn't otherwise find documentation on. Thanks again for the reply!

Hi According to my search from internal database, this error won't be harmful database or other email/connecter. So you need not to worry about it. My suggestion is to send unsupported language email from webmail to your exchange server. It is the easiest way for you to narow down the problem .
