MFCMapi not helping - Explosive increase in user mailbox sizes
Hi All, On Exchange 2007 sp1 we have a very similar problem to the thread "Explosive increase in user mailbox sizes". For some reason we have users who normally have a limit of 500mb with mailboxes up to 4-5GB. The outlook Folder properties show only 70-100MB on them. When I do a mailbox copy, I see about 140000 messages moved from the "Root Folder". Here is the message: [PS] C:\>Move-Mailbox <our domain>\<username> -TargetDatabase "<our servername>\<our Storage Group>\<our database>" -BadItemLimit 10 -Verbose VERBOSE: Move-Mailbox : Beginning processing. VERBOSE: Move-Mailbox : Searching objects "<our servername>\<our Storage Group>\<our database>" of type "MailboxDatabase" under the root "$null". <username> Moving messages. Root (5072/143127) [ooooo ] VERBOSE: Move-Mailbox : Previous operation run on domain controller '<our DC>'. VERBOSE: Move-Mailbox : Searching objects "<our servername>\<our Storage Group>\<our database>" of type "MailboxDatabase" under the root "$null". I followed the recommended procedure from the similar thread. The Article is here: http://exchangeshare.wordpress.com/2007/12/27/mailbox-is-empty-but-esm-still-shows-size-count%E2%80%A6/ When using MFCMapi I did not see any messages in the Top Of Information Store location. I also checked the "IPM_SUBTREE" root, and all other locations I could find. In each folder I opened the "Contents Table", the "Associated Contents Table", the "Deleted Contents Table", and the "Deleted Sub Folder Table" but still couldn't find the 140000 missing messages. Does anyone have an idea how I can see those messages or get rid of them?
