Lync crashes before i can login (side by side event id 35)

Hi,

When i start up my computer lync is strating and crash immidelty i have looked in the log and get these meassages

Side by Side Event ID 35

Faulting application name: lync.exe, version: 15.0.4701.1000, time stamp: 0x54d9b89a

Exception code: 0xe06d7363

Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15\lync.exe.Manifest".Error in manifest or policy file "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15\UccApi.DLL" on line 1. Component identity found in manifest does not match the identity of the component requested. Reference is UccApi,processorArchitecture="AMD64",type="win32",version="15.0.0.0". Definition is UccApi,processorArchitecture="x86",type="win32",version="15.0.0.0". Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.

Does anyone know howw to fix it have been searching for almost 2 hours and finding information but nothing that can solve the problem. If you know please tell me :)

Hi,

It's hard to tell the root cause from the provided logs directly, we can do something to troubleshoot this issue.

1. Please disable all the bluetooth devices on this machine, since some of them may cause the Lync crash issue.

2. Perform the steps below to clear the Lync cache:

a. Log out of Lync 2013
b. Delete my sign-in info
c. Exit the Lync 2013 client

d. Go to Computer. In the address bar, copy and paste C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync
e. Delete the sip profile folder
f. Go into the Tracing folder
g. Delete the all files, but not the folders
h. Close the window

3. Perform a clean boot to determine whether background programs are interfering with Lync.

4. Since it could also be the corrupted .dll in Lync caused the crash, please repair Lync/Office from the Control Panel to have a try.
