Lync 2013 Client crashing
I have office 2013 and Lync 2013 on my machine.  After installing all of the Office and Lync updates for April 2015 myself and others who are using office 2013 with lync 2013 are having the issue of the lync client crashing every time you open it.  Others with office 2010 with lync client 2013 are not having this issue at all.  The only method we have had success with in resolving the lync client crashing has been to remove office 2013 and lync client then installing office 2010 and the lync 2013 client.  this will allow Lync to work.  Anyone else have this sort of issue with these updates?  If so how did you resolve this?  We tried many variations of removing updates and trying, repairing office and lync etc.

Which update do you refer to? KB2889923?

Please run Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT) to find some possible errors about Office, also collect the event logs after the crash.

To collect the event logs, press Win + R, type "eventvwr" in the blank box, press Enter. Expand Windows Logs -> Application to find the errors.
